$11,000,000 – Construction Worker – Labor Law

HKD, Senior Trial Attorney, Jordan Hecht, secured an $11,000,000.00 recovery, for a construction worker who was injured after falling into an unguarded opening. The client suffered serious injuries to his knee requiring four surgeries as well as spinal injuries that also required surgery. HKD won summary judgment on the issue of liability against the owner and general contractor under the New York State Labor Law and the case was set to proceed to trial solely on the issue of damages.
