$2,500,000 NYC Truck Accident

Our client was struck by a sanitation truck while on the job. The plaintiff sustained a fractured hip requiring an open reduction surgery and a total hip replacement. Our client could not return to work and sued the City of New York for negligence, pain and suffering, and lost wages. At trial, the defendant, City of New York, blamed the plaintiff. The case was tried by Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, and under cross-examination, the truck driver admitted that he was the sole cause of the accident. While the jury was deliberating, the City settled for $2,500,000.
