$850,000 – Injured Mechanic – Falling Elevator – Neck Surgery

Plaintiff, a boiler mechanic, was injured when an elevator in which he was riding plummeted and came to a sudden and violent stop. Plaintiff fell to the floor and injured his back requiring surgery. Plaintiff sued the elevator company and building owner for negligence in failing to properly maintain the elevator. The case settled before jury selection for $850,000.00.
