$3,300,000 – Ironworker – Labor Law – Multiple Fractures

Plaintiff, a Local 46 Union Iron Worker, was injured when he fell 25 feet from an unprotected staircase. Plaintiff sustained a fractured femur requiring the placement of an intramedullary rod and fractured ankle requiring pins and screws. Plaintiff commenced an action against the property owner and general contractor pursuant to Labor Law § 241(6) and § 200. Defendants claimed that the accident occurred because the plaintiff was intoxicated. The case was tried by Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., partner, Jordan Hecht and was settled during trial for $3,300,000.00.
