$2,645,000 – Iron Worker – Construction Accident – Traumatic Brain Injury

Plaintiff, a 26-year-old Iron Worker, fell approximately 4 stories after being struck by an unsecured piece of concrete. Plaintiff hit his head and was knocked unconscious. Plaintiff was diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome also known as Traumatic Brain Injury, as well as with herniated discs in his lower back. Plaintiff suffered from memory loss, headaches and depression. He underwent years of cognitive therapy for the effects of his brain injury as well as spinal surgery to repair the herniated disc in his lower back. Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., was awarded a judgment against the owner and general contractor on the issue of liability. The case was tried by Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., partner, Jordan Hecht, and settled after jury selection for $2,645,000.
