Plaintiff, a 36-year-old woman, was injured in a motor vehicle accident. She was riding in the back of a taxicab when the cab was sideswiped by an MTA bus on one side and a truck on the other. Defendants all contested liability.
The plaintiff sustained a herniated disc in her neck and ultimately underwent cervical fusion surgery. She also sustained a tear to her hip requiring an arthroscopic procedure. Defendants argued that this was a minor accident and that the plaintiff could not have sustained these injuries in this accident. The case settled during trial by HKD attorney Andrea Borden for $1,400,000.00.
The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
