Plaintiff, a 44 y/o taxi driver was driving through an intersection when he was struck by a drunk driver. The driver had a blood-alcohol level of 2x the legal limit. Due to the accident, the plaintiff injured his lower back and left shoulder. Plaintiff had a laminectomy on his lumbar spine and arthroscopic repair of the left shoulder injury. The case settled during jury selection for $1,150,000.
