$850,000 – Injured Construction Worker – Labor Law – Back Surgery

Plaintiff, a union HVAC installer, was injured when he tripped and fell on a loose pipe that had been left in the grass. Plaintiff sustained a herniated disc in his lower back requiring a lumbar fusion surgery. Plaintiff sued the owner and general contractor pursuant to the Labor Law. The case settled while a motion to dismiss was pending for $850,000.00.
