Plaintiff, an overhead door mechanic, was repairing a broken garage door at a commercial parking lot when he was caused to fall from an A-frame ladder. Plaintiff commenced suit against the owner of the building as well as the parking company that managed the garage. Plaintiff sustained a fractured scapula and torn rotator cuff requiring arthroscopic surgery. Plaintiff also suffered a herniated disc in his lumbar spine that necessitated a lumbar spinal fusion. Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., partner settled the case at mediation for $2,100.000.
