$1,750,000 – Motor Vehicle Accident – Wrist and Back Injuries

Plaintiff, an 35-year-old administrative assistant, was driving on Avenue L near the intersection of Coney Island Avenue when a vehicle driven by the defendant made an improper left turn causing a collision. Plaintiff alleged the defendant violated the vehicle and traffic laws and was negligent. Plaintiff sustained torn ligaments in her wrist that required arthroscopic surgery and a herniated disc at L5-S1 requiring a laminectomy and discectomy. The case was settled before jury selection, by HKD partners, Jordan Hecht and Jonathan Damashek, for $1,750,000.
