$2,350,000 – Elevator Accident

Plaintiff, a 30 year old, single mother was exiting an elevator in the defendants building when she was caused to fall due to a severe mis-leveling. HKD’s investigation revealed that the building owner was aware of the condition and ignored the recommendations to modernize the elevator. Due to the fall, plaintiff suffered a neck injury that required a single level cervical fusion. The case was settled by HKD partner, Jordan Hecht, at mediation for $2,350,000.00
