$1,650,000 – Motor Vehicle Accident – Question of Lights – Lumbar Spine Injury, Knee Injury, Wrist Injury

Plaintiff, a driver of a motor vehicle, was struck by another vehicle at an intersection controlled by a traffic light. Both plaintiff and defendant claimed they proceeded through the intersection with a steady green light. There were no independent witnesses to this accident. Plaintiff sustained fracture to her left wrist, left knee injury requiring arthroscopic surgery, and lower back injury resulting in a laminectomy several years after the accident. Defendant claimed plaintiff was talking on her cell phone at the time of the accident. Defendant claimed plaintiff’s back injury was unrelated to this accident and the surgery was unnecessary. Judd Kleeger settled this case prior to jury selection for $1,650,000.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
