$2,500,000 Slip and Fall – Snow and Ice – Back and Shoulder Injuries

Plaintiff, a cable repairman from Con Edison was injured when he slipped and fell on a large patch of ice outside the defendant’s premises. As a result of the accident, the plaintiff suffered a shoulder injury that required arthroscopic surgery and a herniated disc in the lower back that required surgery. HKD sued the property owner alleging that they failed to adequately remove a dangerous icy condition. The case was settled at mediation by HKD partner, Jordan Hecht, for $2,500,000.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
