$800,000 – Shooting Victims – Negligent Security

Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., represented plaintiffs who sustained serious injuries including gunshot wounds requiring surgery and various fractures. Plaintiffs were attending a party at Chelsea Piers when they were caught in the cross-fire of gunplay. Plaintiffs sued the property owner for negligent security. Hecht Kleeger & Damashek, P.C., defeated a motion for summary judgment and won the ensuing appeal in the Appellate Division, First Department. The case settled before jury selection for $800,000.
